Mountain Biking for Women – Evening
The program comes as a series of 4 courses, on the same evening each week.
Our four week learn to mountain bike skills development is for women who are interested in getting into the sport of off road biking and is geared towards all ages. The instructor ratio is 1:6 which makes for small teaching groups and high learning curves. A safe, non-threatening, comfortable and encouraging approach to skill set building is our promise to you. The clinic starts with breaking down biking skills into manageable pieces which helps to overcome personal fear factors. The second half of the clinic is spent putting the newly learned skills into practice on a group ride.
Skills that will be taught are: Bike and helmet fit, pedal stroke, gearing, braking, front wheel lift, cornering, climbing, descending and small obstacles.
Everyone is encouraged to push their personal limits on difficult sections of the trail during the afternoon ride with spotters and group support.
A bike in good working condition and helmets are required.
