Water fall, Rapids & the Old Watering Hole Bicycle Tour
Leisure Ride $35
Enjoy the beauty of the rolling hills of Northumberland County; listen to the water rushing over the falls and rapids of the Crow River Conservation Area. Tour the Church Key Brewery and satisfy that sweet tooth at the World’s Finest Chocolate Factory on this cycling tour.
You will experience the innovative Ranney Suspension Bridge where the views will surly put a smile on your face.
At over a hundred metres in width, Healey Falls is a big one! It can be an absolute monster at high flow. You are free to walk across the dam, which gives great views of the falls below. The Trent River falls probably 10-20 meters, not in one large plunge, but in a rugged series of wide steps. The limestone is thinly bedded yielding hundreds of little steps.
Explore the pristine Crowe Valley Conservation Area where much enjoyment is experienced when you “step into nature”.
Have you ever wondered how the micro breweries produce and package their mouth watering beers? Here is your chance to learn from the crafters themselves. The Church-Key Brewery is housed in an 1878 Methodist Church in the hamlet of Pethericks Corners.
Who could say no to the delicious chocolate from the World’s Finest Chocolate Factory? Since 1999 the Factory Outlet Store in Campbellford has been a favourite destination for chocolate lovers.
A bike in good working condition and helmets are required on all rides.
